Position Description

MEOC PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly), Big Stone Gap, Virginia, is seeking a
licensed Occupational Therapist to provide occupational rehabilitation therapy for participants in our
community based program that serves Wise, Lee, Scott and the City of Norton.
The OT will serve on our interdisciplinary team by conducting initial assessments and reassessments of
participant condition and functional status. The chosen candidate will evaluate and treat participant,
communicate with families, physician and other team members as appropriate while complying with all
state and federal regulations. Participates in daily meetings and timely documentation in the medical
 Graduate from an Occupational Therapy curriculum approved by the Accreditation Council for
Occupational Therapy or the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
 Active Virginia License in Occupational Therapy
 Minimum of two years experience, with one year working with an elderly/frail population
 Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
 Must demonstrate clinical competency with geriatric population
 Must be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date
